Yeah, they told me that because the screen is cracked as well as the pixels are damaged in a huge rectangle, it would cost way more than it's worth.

It really is easy to break something that everyone expects to last. And for some people, they do last. But I've noticed that unless I treat something - anything - electronic like it's made of glass, it'll break. That was my mistake with my Kobo that time. I've had my share of busted electronics. It's sad.
