YES

The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble(ish thing) of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level.

You can choose from Slayers, ATLA, Ouran, 12 Kingdoms, Scrapped Princess, or Shadow Raiders.

10/10

Toph/Zuko, amica!

(Will have to bow out of drabbles till my draft is due though)

Do you have a prompt, or does anything go?

I wanna make a request, but I don't write. DX; I can't offer anything in return. X|

DO IT ANYWAY. You don't have to post it. I won't tell!

Ouran; Tamaki/Haruhi; they both wear dresses

Tamaki/Haruhi, drag time

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Haruhi considered herself a very patient person. Her limits were pretty broad, and it took much to get her to break down and succumb to her anger.

But it was harder to remember this when certain people wouldn’t let what they wanted die.

“Please, Haruhi!” Tamaki simpered, looking both incredibly annoying and horribly adorable all in one go. In his hands he held up a loud-pink ruffled thing that she had never even seen before and wondered where he even found such a thing.

“Why do I have to wear something so ugly, Tamaki-sempai?” she demanded flatly, her arms over her chest.

“Ugly?!” Tamaki cried. He held the dress closer, as if that would make a difference. “This is a one of a kind, limited edition--,”

“Ugh, who do you think you’re talking to?” she cut him off, her voice dipped in poison.

“Just this one time!

Haruhi opened her mouth to protest, then stopped. Her mouth closed, and she narrowed her eyes. “If I give you a condition, you have to do it. Only then will I wear that stupid dress. Got it?”

Tamaki nodded, his eyes shining excitedly.

“Okay then…”

About an hour later, two figures sat in alone in the music room, dressed head-to-toe in frilly, loud pink.

“Ugh,” Haruhi groaned, glaring at the yards of bright material shining up at her. “Of all of the dresses to have me wear, you couldn’t of picked one that wasn’t so disgusting? I like normal dresses, you know.”

Tamaki said nothing. He was too busy staring at her with huge, watery and delighted eyes. “Aah,” he said happily. “You look so cute, Haruhi! Like a little doll!”

Haruhi glared, then smirked, reaching over and flicking his shoulder lightly. The pink material of his own dressed rustled a little in reply. “You’re not so bad yourself, Tamaki-sempai,” she agreed. She then tilted her head. “Although don’t you think the make-up was a little much?”

Tamaki opened his mouth, probably to lecture her on the semantics of dress-wearing, but the doors opened to reveal none other than the rest of the Host Club, standing there and staring.

“Oh,” Haruhi waved. “Hello, everyone.”

Tamaki went bright red, leaping to his feet. Before anyone said a word, he screamed out, ”IT WAS WORTH IT!”

Aang and Sokka, dinner. xD

Aang and Sokka, dinner

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
“You are very, very hard to cook for, my friend.”

Aang frowned, cupping his chin on his hand. “I don’t think I am,” he admitted, his breath coming out as a cloud in the cold South Pole air. It was chilly, but the fire in front of him was nice, so it wasn’t so bad. “I can pretty much eat anything. I’m not too picky.”

Sokka raised an eyebrow. “It’s funny you should mention that, because I can think of a good dozen things you would never eat.”

Aang frowned even more. “I think you’re wrong.”

Sokka grinned, accepting the challenge. “Alright, then,” he said slowly. “I’ll name ten dishes. If you like one, just one, then I’ll cook it for you. However, if you say no to all of them, you cook dinner.”

Aang nodded, politely failing to mention that Sokka had started with a dozen. “Wait, you can’t cheat,” he said as an afterthought. “No meat dishes, Sokka.”

Sokka looked away a little, proving Aang’s suspicions right. “Ah, of course not,” he said, mentally revising his list. “Okay! How about…stewed sea prunes?”

Aang sighed, rolling his eyes. “I knew you would bring that up. Fine. You got me. That one I hate. Next.”

“Ocean kumquats!”

Aang glared now. “Which is essentially the same thing!”

Sokka waved a hand at him, his smile cocky, now. “No, no, they’re not. Two different nations, my friend.”

Aang crossed his arms over his chest. “Ugh, fine.”

“Fireflakes.”

Aang shook his head. “No, that doesn’t count! I don’t eat those because they hurt not because I don’t like them!”

“Things you would never eat!” Sokka repeated which immense emphasis, and Aang glowered. “Fine, but that’s only three. You’re going to lose.”

“Boiled spinach, raisons, nuts – except cashews for some reason, fried rice, raw dough, red peppers, and green tea ice cream.”

Aang stared, his mouth open slightly, unable to say a word.

Sokka grinned. “Lived with you for over a year, buddy. I think I know. I would like stewed sea prunes for supper, please.”

The wave of snow that was bent at him only made him laugh.

Umm.. Umm.. (Shoot. Zuko/Toph is taken!)

Toph/Iroh - Tea and friendship.

Toph/Iroh, tea and friendship

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Hmm..."

Toph leaned in closer, unable to suppress a flutter of excitement in her gut. She listened, hard, to what Iroh was about to say.

"From the way it smells, I would say...something like orange, cola plant, and..." another deep breath, followed by a deep sigh. "Ah, jasmine. That's wonderful."

Toph nodded excitedly. "Yes, exactly. Except--"

"Wait," Iroh broke in. There was the sound of sipping, tasting, and another deep breathe. Then there was a loud, explosive laugh, and she knew he had gotten it right, and she giggled, too.

"Dirt," he exclaimed breathlessly, "you added dirt."

She applauded, and he laughed even more.

Toph and Mai, city.

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're wasting your time," Toph snapped, her arms crossed over her chest. "You're not going to change my mind."

Mai rolled her eyes, undeterred. "Whatever. Your animosity is stale and boring. You bitch about cities being the evil of the world, and yet have you even been to a city that lacks all of that hoity-doity garbage?"

Toph sniffed. "There is no such thing."

"There is such a thing, you brat," Mai responded, unable to hide a smirk. "You just haven't been to a proper Fire Nation city."

"Not true," the other girl answered, following Mai out of the palace despite her protests. She was curious, even though she was sure she wasn't going to change her mind, and Mai barely had spare time to kill nowadays, anyway. "I travelled the Fire Nation with Aang."

This time, Mai sniffed, casually waving to the guards at the front doors as she and Toph made their exit. They bowed to her and let her pass. "You visited backwater towns. Those aren't true cities. You have yet to see the capitol."

"Put that way, I haven't 'seen' any city," Toph quipped.

Mai rolled her eyes. "Ugh, that may be cute for the others, but it's lame with me."

"You're no fun, Knives."

"You'll change your mind after a day in the capitol," was the older girl's reply. Toph sighed, then followed her out into the hot city, secretly kind of hoping that Mai would prove her wrong.

Katara/Aang, floating on air.

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Katara had flown before. She had done it with Teo on the glider, and she had latched onto Aang on his glider in times of panic. She had soared on Appa dozens of times, flown in airships, and sailed in hot-air balloons.

She wasn't a stranger to the currents.

However, there was something different about this time, she knew. There was no fear of danger, no fear of falling or getting it wrong. There was no imminent battle, no underlying worry for how her friends were.

It was just...her and Aang. They flew on a lazy thermal, Aang using it to spiral over and over again slowly above the Southern Air Temple. She clung to him. her arms around his neck, her legs hooked loosely around his narrow waist. She felt the warm breeze raking through her hair, hear the excited beat of Aang's heart against hers, and she couldn't help but smile brightly, feeling silly and giddy and at peace all at once.

"Hold on tight," Aang murmured. "I'm going to do a loop!"

"Aang, no! Don't! Augh!" she burst out, but her words ended in a scream as he did it anyway, dipping downwards so fast it terrified her, his laughter like music in her ears.

Ouran, twins and Tamaki, cute teasing and just cute cute cuteness?

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"We know what we're doing, Milord," Hikari and Kaoru quipped, looking unamused. "Or do you forget who we are?" Hikaru finished.

Tamaki sighed, his frown deep and confused. "I know you both know what you're doing, but I can't help but think you're doing it wrong," he admitted, his arms looped around his folded up legs, twitching a little beneath the hands of the twins.

"Relax, we've been doing this kind of thing for years," Kaoru chided, looking at his brother with a sly grin over Tamaki's head. Hikaru grinned, catlike, in reply.

"I guess," Tamaki replied, sounding a trace sulky. "But you're pulling too hard."

"The best kind of treatment hurts," Hikaru said cheerfully, masking his snickers.

The door creaked open, and Haruhi poked her head in, her mouth open and ready to ask something, but she paused, held spellbound by what she saw in front of her.

Tamaki sat on the ground, flanked by the twins, their hands in his hair. Kaoru held a pair of scissors, and Hikaru held a handful of bright pink ribbons. Both were the process of weaving in hair extensions, trimming them, and then braiding them carefully with the ribbons. Tamaki looked up and went scarlet, but the twins grinned maniacally, and Haruhi instantly knew she had stumbled on something disturbing.

Without a word, she disappeared, closing the door behind her.

"Ah!" Tamaki cried out. "Why did she leave?"

"She knew we needed concentration," the twins replied quickly. "Now, stop wiggling!"

KATARA/AANG, OCEAN. I will post this in my journal tomorroooow.

Katara/Aang, OCEAN SHENNANIGANS

[identity profile] yukinoomoni.livejournal.com 2010-02-03 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
On sunny days, a waterbender’s time is always spend underneath the element they were born to bend.

Be it a guilty pleasure, or just a usual past-time, the water was where you were likely to find a missing waterbender.

But there was something unique about spending that time with someone who could bend more than just water.

Ember Island was the perfect place to just float under the water and watch the sunlight shine from above, the rays turning even the dingiest of water into sparkling diamonds. Katara floated close to the bottom, her hands gripping onto a large rock stuck to the bottom so that she could stay in one place. She looked up and smiled, the feel of the water like a warm embrace, like coming home again, no matter where she was.

A pair of arms snaked around her waist and pulled her away, making her smile and lean closer. Aang nuzzled her cheek with his, and she had to swallow the urge to laugh.

Or did she? Aang turned around slowly, using the water as a kind of buoyant aid while keeping her in his embrace. The water seemed to part above them, giving them a pocket of air around their heads. Aang grinned, looking extremely pleased with himself.

“I could have done that myself, you know,” Katara teased, reaching up and rubbing the top of his head affectionately.

Aang pouted. “But you didn’t,” he answered. “And besides, this way, we can stay down here as long as we like!”

Katara nodded, giving him a sideways glance. He was pink, still smiling, but he was holding onto her tightly. She smiled, kinder this time. “It’s nice to have company,” she admitted.

Aang nodded, but his eyes wavered a little. He grinned, grabbed a tighter hold around her waist, and said, “Want to see if we can make a waterspout together?”

Katara grinned, her eyes flashing. “Absolutely,” she agreed. “But no cheating. I’ll know!”

A few moments later, an immense waterspout erupted from the middle of the ocean. Sitting together, under a huge umbrella and sharing a bowl of ice cream, Mai and Zuko barely looked up.
