I'm ridiculously arachnophobic myself, and I have no idea why. Considering I'm a 6'4" guy, my reactions to spiders are probably amusing to people who don't share the same fear.
Hope you've enjoyed what you've read so far. I'm thinking that I'll have the story finished perhaps before the end of the weekend, then get the thing revised and cleaned up and post it to FF.Net. Then I hope to start a story a bit less intense - such as Zuko plundering a sorcerer's tower in Ba Sing Se...
(Okay, it'll probably still be intense writing, but it'll be a different sort of intensity :P)
