Better Things

yukinoomoniFirst off, the weekend was wonderful. Terry got be a beautiful ring, in sterling silver, with a gorgeous aquamarine heart accented by four blue topazes. It's wonderful and it makes me sappy and stupid.
But I was worried, to be honest. Nine months is a long time, and even though I knew I would be getting a ring (I asked for one, lol), I still worried that I was asking for too much and assuming waaaaay to much and giving back too little.
But the day was....wonderful. We exchanged gifts, and he said he liked his present (<3). We went to the used book fair, bought books, went to his place and...er...read those books....and we talked about us and stuff and were sappy (lol I cried). Then we went back out for dinner and bought awesome food and snacks and tea stuff. And then we parted ways with warm hugs and kisses. It really was a wonderful day, probably the best anniversary yet!
So yeah, there is some light in the dark. The day even started off dark and turned sunny and pretty. It was awesome.
