I went to see Megamind yesterday with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
caster13, and as I said to him and mistress_gwen, I figured out why it didn't suck, and why as a comparison, most Dreamworks movies do.
It's because they didn't riddle the entire movie with pop culture references. All they did was use really catchy music, but they didn't put in lame references or cheesy things like that. They actually kept it original, without having to depend on those kinds of gimmicks to make it a success.
