I'm NOT INTERESTED

Because I have problems walking long distances, I've been taking the bus to get to work on almost a daily basis. I usually get to the stop about ten minutes early, because I'm eternally paranoid of missing the bus.
For the past couple of days, since the start of the week, I've had a stalker come around. Basically, he hovers around me when I read, gets into my face, and no matter how far away I move, just when I think I've lost him, there he is hovering over me again. It's really annoying, because I KNOW I make it quite clear that I'm not interested.
The thing is, though, that I'm not quite sure that baby bees understand English.
It's pretty obvious that I have an intense phobia of bees. Ask Terry - if I so much as see one close to me, I scream, cover my head and ears, and hide behind him. But there was something so tiny and harmless about this tiny creature that didn't make me afraid. So I just moved around instead of screaming and running. And s/he still insisted on following me.
Of course my only admirers are insects. I suppose that's what happens when I wear perfume that makes me smell like a sugar cookie.

Also, be proud of me: I ate a carrot muffin this morning.

Date: 2011-06-30 03:01 pm (UTC)Bees scare the shit out of me because they remind me of needles, which I have a paranoid fear of. I see a bee and I like flip out and run to the other room. ...Kinda surprised I've never been stung by one.

Date: 2011-06-30 06:24 pm (UTC)While I don't have a phobia of bees per se, I don't like pain and have no desire to be stung. By some miracle I've managed to get through my life without ever being stung by a bee or any of their more vicious cousins.
Anyhow, I admire you, fwiw. Good fanfic writers should be treasured.

Date: 2011-06-30 11:15 pm (UTC)Bees freak me out and I have no clue why.
Thank you so very much =3. Speaking of writing, I haven't had a chance to finish reading your fic - I plan on doing so this weekend, since it's a long weekend =3

Date: 2011-07-01 01:44 am (UTC)Hope you've enjoyed what you've read so far. I'm thinking that I'll have the story finished perhaps before the end of the weekend, then get the thing revised and cleaned up and post it to FF.Net. Then I hope to start a story a bit less intense - such as Zuko plundering a sorcerer's tower in Ba Sing Se...
(Okay, it'll probably still be intense writing, but it'll be a different sort of intensity :P)

Oh, hey, did you know bees live in the ground? Wild bees live everywhere. They're better at pollinating trees to make them fruit, too. Apparently domesticated ones generally just aren't as good for that.
