It's weird, but even though it makes my hands stiff and sore, and I end up all sweaty at the very end, I really like sweeping and mopping the floor. I love how nice and clean the wood looks afterwards, and I love how the work itself is honest and hard.

I'm really weird.

And then the feeling of accomplishment you get, as well as protective of it...YOU DON'T WANT ANYONE TO WALK ON IT.

Unlike a lot of other things, the results of your hard work are immediately visible. Instant gratification!

Awww! Until I reached the end of the first sentence, I thought this would be a post about you giving Terry happy fun!

I'm that predictable?

*still hopes that you and Terry-kun have lots and lots of fun after mopping*
*if your hands get stiff mopping, they'll at least be cramped into the right shape for certain types of fun*

Are you free tomorrow for lunch at Dai Ichi? What time is good for you? Are they even open for lunch? Their website doesn't give their hours.

I think they open at eleven or so. I know they're closed on Mondays.

I can try to get there. Do you know what buses go by it?

Lunch is still on if you dare! A tazer would indeed be better than pepper spray (I can handle wasabi, so capascin wouldn't stop me from making my stupid jokes). If you and your weaponry are coming by bus, we should plan on lunch at 12:15 PM, 1:00 PM, or 2:00 PM (depending on whether you want to catch the 11:56 AM, 12:48 PM, or 1:32 PM bus). Once you let me know what time is best for you, I'll make a reservation for us.

Want to bring anyone else along as a chaperon or cannon fodder?

Don't book anything yet until I get a confirmation, silly. As soon as I do, I'll comment here and tell you.

So I have two people - tentatively - coming along. Danielle isn't sure if she can get up early enough, and the second party I'm pretty sure is going just to please me. I'd like to make the lunch for 12-12.30. is that good for you?

It's probably physical enough work that it feels like an accomplishment rather than a nuisance. That kind of thing is actually refreshing once in a while.
