Eight years ago today I was a different person.

I look back at the person I was back then and am amazed at how much I've changed.

I never thought I would change. I never thought I would be this different.

I always thought that things would be the same on this day eight years ago. I had so many hopes and dreams.

I had to watch them crumble and change.

I also got to watch new ones burst from the ground and bloom into something wonderful.

I'm not going to lie; my life isn't peaches, and I would have thought that, by now, I would have gotten it all. But I still think I've done pretty well, considering the path I was on eight years ago today.

I don't regret it.

I never will.

I have known you for seven of those eight years. I've enjoyed knowing you through all the different forms you have taken.
