So you all know how I'm taking waterbending tai chi, right?

Well, I suck. I make it no secret that I suck.

The thing is, I'm okay with sucking. I'm out of shape and fat, so of course I'm going to suck. But I figure, if I keep trying and not give up, I should shape up and not suck eventually.

I started my first lesson at the Tai Chi Academy today, and it turns out that I was orignally taught by a student sifu. Tonight we were taught by the real sifu, and fuck. FUCK. This guy is hardcore. We had to do the very first move over twenty times in order to make sure it was perfect, and it still wasn't quite right!

I don't mind, though; if it means that I get it right eventually, I don't care how many times I have to do it. Apparently I have a problem with force, though. As in, I use too much of it. I can't help it - I'm a very forceful kind of woman. I mean, look at my profession, for fuck's sake.

So yeah. I'm signed up til September. I hope by then I won't suck so hard. Yeah.

Oh, and the anon who sent me the MOST ADORABLE PUPPY VIRTUAL GIFT FOR MY BIRTHDAY?! THANK YOU!

I knoooooooooooow I'm trying!

I figure if I suck still in September, I'll enroll in something that actually benefits from my ham hands.

XD Earthbending! I do love waterbending personally though, I find it pretty relaxing and hypnotizing.

Yeah, I was thinking either Praying Mantis (Toph's style) or Shaolin (firebending), although there are alot of Tae Kwan Do studios around where I live o.O.

...is it bad that I read 'sifu' as 'stfu'? >_0;

My poor corrupted mind!

Waterbending is my favorite kind of bending and I wanna take these lessons!

Also, how do you feel 'sticky'? :o

Lmao.

It's hard for someone like me who is heavy-footed and heavy-handed. I'm hoping learning it will give me some grace and balance.

Two ways: I'm sweaty, and my hands are sticky because I just had ice cream and I am too lazy to do something about it.

I'm sure you can do it! No one ever said waterbenders had to be anorexic!

Awww, what you need is a nice, clean, and refreshing shower. =3

I think I've had that happen once. There's yoga classes that seem to be geared to Olympic finalists, and they'll just go at this ridiculous pace no matter where everyone's at... If he's actually paying attention to his students, though, that's definitely better.

I had a yoga teacher who went this insane pace like that! Very difficult!

I had no freaking idea. It was a surreal event, and I wasn't sure why I was there.

You have to go with flooooow not force! ;D

I know how that is, with practicing a move tons of times. My class last year had us learn one move every day, but we practiced said move for an hour.
