You know, all I could think of while watching this was how most of what he was saying here could be applied to The Last Airbender.

I mean if you replace Claw with Ozai, it's pretty much all true. Seriously. Just replace it all with stuff from TLA and you have it. I'm freaked out a little. Someone should reshoot this as a TLA review.

GO GO GADGET CASH-IN

I can't remember if it was this one or the Rocky/Bullwinkle movie, but one of these had some really stupid business about the main character's "inner child" which somehow feels really gratuitous. Well, most of this stuff is gratuitous anyways.

They would have been much better off making a live action Ren & Stimpy movie than the Last Airbender.

It's too bad the nostalgia critic really isn't an Avatar fan... We could have had an interesting old Vs. New with the movie.

To be fair, Both series are after the "Critic's" cutoff date for Nostalga. If Avatar were released in the 90's, it'd be done in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I figured as much.

Maybe him or the nostalgia chick will do one with the new pony series

The fact that there is a new Transformers cartoon on the same channel as a new ponies cartoon only cements the fact that they are unofficial counterparts of each other in my mind. They are almost exact opposites of each other.

But the NC admitted he's "never heard of" Avatar the Last Airbender when he was talking about Mako.

While that may be true, remember that the Critic is a character played by Doug, and what's true for the Critic may not be so for Doug Walker himself.

Basically, take whatever the Critic says in regards to series with a grain of salt. Though, to be fair, it seems that Avatar would not have been the Critic's cup of tea, so to speak, but that's just my opinion

He's the kind of person who stopped watching cartoons after high school, which I never did. He didn't even know what a "pokemon" was!
