Date: 2009-10-16 04:36 pm (UTC)Xellos has a distinct level of sheer brilliance in his character design. There is something about him that could be sociopathic if he lacked his specific personality. There's a sense of loyalty in him, to both Lina and Beastmaster, that is never seen again within the series. He's ridiculously powerful but when he's around Lina, he hardly uses any of it. You can tell that he's into life, and humans, for shits and giggles, and not quite about ending the world.

She also walks a thin line between good and bad, but always ends up jumping to the good side when it comes down to it.
She's AWESOME.

2. We didn't learn much about his past (what I would pay to see him as a teen).
3. While he got moments in the limelight, he never really got to KICK ASS like some of the other characters.
4. We never got to see him rule his planet.
5. We never get to just see him be a "dad" for one day. His interactions with Zera are always clouded with politics or DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

CrackFic: Non-sensical and totally OOC fics that are made to laugh at.
Fluff: Silly, romantic and incredibly sweet fics.
One-Shot: A single, sometimes short story that will never be continued or expanded upon.
Slash: Usually it's used to refer to gay/lesbian pairings that aren't canon, but it used to mean simple pairing.
Ship: What relationship within your fandom that you promote like crazy, and demand that everyone else agree. For example, I ship Mai/Zuko. So I not only have icons of it and declare publicly how awesome it is, but I also write a bunch of fics depicting it.

4. Cryos. It probably would be possible, but... I dunno. They seem better as friends.

HA! Oh, I am so guilty of this. Jade/Graveheart will always be my OTP, but I crack!ship Jade/Tekla like a mad thing. I'm all over the tension-filled Les Yay... but I completely understand those who aren't.

Date: 2009-10-17 12:22 am (UTC)At first, I wasn't sure, because he was such a sexist douchbag to Suki that I wanted to throttle him...but then she did it for me, and he wised up. So that was awesome. In fact, all of the female characters beat him into submission, come to think of it.
What's not to love? He's hilarious, he's pessimistic without being a downer, he's a good fighter, an awesome dreamer, and he draws like I do. And he loves meat. Gotta love a guy that hunts and prepares his own meat and still loves it.
